... he's claiming that they're not from the album either...
Bootleggers claim all sorts of things. Since they are are unofficial bootlegs without provenance, you have no guarantee what's in them, or if they are as described.

I suspect the poster is the booklet, or at least has all the things which are in the booklet too.
As far as I know, the poster is an addition the the exact replicas of the original vinyl inner sleeves. The CD set, whilst missing the poster has a booklet with new sleevenotes. Perhaps as you say Dr. Jones they (the poster and booklet) will have have elements from each other on them.

The Concerts in China: 40th Anniversary Limited Gatefold Vinyl 2LP
2 december? I can get the LP on 25 november. Or is that the special Record Store Day release? And if yes, what's the difference? Questions, questions.

A Dadwater remaster with a new poster sounds like the worst Record Store exclusive edition one could get
(For that price, at any rate)

Looks like it has better DR scores than the 2014 remaster (that had DR7 and DR6, the new one has DR9 and DR10).. that's progress!
These are 48khz flacs but I guess the CD has the same values.

Souvenir of China is completely failed but why?
The "lead" synth, the whole melody crushed by certain sounds constituting the rhythm...
The normal oscillation of the lead is also very marked as a result.
No other edition does that.
Just that ruins it all for me. Really a shame because the rest is correct although winded but nothing equivalent to the 2014 edition.
Just one person or a few wise ears to validate everything in post production... it's not complicated... out of respect for the work and the end user.

I just heard what you mean, it's quite obvious indeed...
Here's the 1989 version:

And here the new master:
cic2022.mp3
(614.28 KiB) Downloaded 2760 times
It' sounds like there's too much compression on it.
And here's the 2014 master which is much less compressed but has a brickwall master:

Yes the compression is the problem and magnetic fields 2 is just limit.... like if the effect was applied on the last track too...
Finally the original was good enough

To add my two pence worth. This edition is closer to the original and lacks the added excesses of the previous edition. (48/24 digital file)
Here`s to a new approach to the older material, and that maybe a 40th anniversary edition of zoolook will not be a complete disaster like the 30th one was.

Something weird is also going on in the final section magnetic fields4 4. I have mastered a few albums and it looks like they have applied a template to the whole album and not checked everything through. It is surprising the parts that limit out, that you would not expect.
