Yeah, I think so too.

But if he can control pitch with the Geiss Rhythmi Computer then it's just to add a little EQ and compressor and voila!

Yes, I know that as well. The question was if it was a drummachine or a synth who's responsible for the kick on Oxygene 3.

I think synth. But it wouldn't be too hard to get that sound with some EQ and a drummachine (but then it has to be a drummachine with either programming or individual outputs!).

The Oxy3 kick MUST be a synth, or a homemade drum machine. I can't think of any commerical drum machine until the Roland TR*0* that had that much of a powerful kick.

Exactly my point and guess too. Really beefy and warm kick!

Just tweak the BD-Potentiometers of the CR78, you won´t believe how TR808-ish it can sound.... other possibilities: CR68, TR-33/55/77 or a Acetone....

Mmm.... Those aren't really POWERFUL kicks. I was thinking more 909.

No, I didn't mean it like that. I just meant the only real way to get such a big kick back then was thru a synth.
