I'm going to make a webpage dedicated to each synth I own or have owned or even tried for a long time (= Andromeda ), with some demos and reviews, in case it can help you all to discover some unknown machines

I have tweaked the Juno106 for the whole afternoon, this synth is really awesome, the basses are sooooooo deep, too bad the polyphony has problems, but I have made some demos I'll post asap ! (here is a short video in which I introduce a patch I made, and apologise for the wrong keys sometimes, due to the polyphony problem :
And I have tried the SRJV Vintage card this evening, very very nice patches, Oxygène 7-13 & Métamorphoses highly use this card !!

BTW, I'm still selling the Roland JV880 (rack version of the Roland JV80, great synth), and the Quasimidi Quasar (with some patches of The Raven !)

it looks nice! Do the quasar have the oxygene 7 choir from the raven, and I bet, that you have the second lead from oxygene 7 in the srx card, but waiting for the demos

Im drooling when thinking about those gem sounds of the Vintage card. Those mellotron sounds and yes the well known Mellotron string sound was used for the Oxygene 7 lead comes from the SR-JV-80 card. I think that sound was used on more or less all tracks of Oxygene 7-13 except part 13.
As long as you are working with basses on the juno, I can imagine the low polyphony doesn't harm too much, still the Juno does make some great pads when it works. Just take a simple saw patch, add the internal chorus effects and feed it through a phaser, and you feel like being in heaven

In fact, the Oxygène 7 choirs are from the SRJV, I have found it yesterday, but maybe they are in the Quasar aswell, I have not checked, to be honest, last time I used it was almost 4 months ago
I'll put the Vintage card in the XP80 today, and then I'll make a demo

Speaking about te Oxy7 lead, do you mean the laser harp one ?!
The Vintage card is really worth it, I wouldn't have the XP80 or JV80, I'd buy either the JV90 or JV880 (rack version, as I said ) only to put this card in, this is a good solution for about 250€ to have maaaaany awesome vintage sounds !

For the Juno, to play basses I use the monophonic mode, gives more power to the sound (all 6 voices are used at once.. or should I say 3.5 voices in my case ), but indeed there are some neat pads on it, I can't play because of this $^ù$^: 3th voice
I'll try your tip for the heaven sound, and I'll let you know with a demo, but this is strange because there are a very few waveforms on the Juno, or maybe I'm dumb

Argh crap I didn't notice the ")" . The mellotron strings patch of the vintage card was used for the "second" kind of sequenced lead, not the laser harpe, but the one starting after the drone with the slow attack.

I have SRJV 80-04 in my JD 990 and SRX 07 in SonicCEll with mostly all SRJV 80 04 sounds and the mellotron sounds the was on the CD.

But in Oxy7, the long attack one and the short attack one can be produced on both Raven & SRJV-04 so I don't know, I trust you

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear I meant that the drone had a slow attack. Basically I just referred to that drone to specify what lead I was talking about

But anyway, funny fact, I was taking the Vintage card from the JV880 to put it in the XP80 instead of the Experience II card, and I wanted to put the Exp2 in the JV80, so I began to open the JV80 and once it was done, how surprised I was to notice there was already a "Bass & Drums" card inside
So I left it in there and now I have a spare card

But I still have the JV880 for sale

Doesn't matter, I was just talking about the sequenced mellotron part to be a sound of the SR-JV80-04 card No so important, jP just mentioned it I think Equinoxe once did a demo of that sequence.
