The album is wonderful, I so so much like it. I agree with the opinion that this is the best album since Oxygene 7-13. However it's not on the Equinoxe level - though close to that - this new material shows so much emotions!
Elf, thank you for the great interview! Nice job.

So I just received my copy... There's no download card in the box
Edit: well never mind, it was inside the packaging with the Equinoxe Infinity vinyl, as in, right on the record itself... How did this happen!?

Blegh... Though I like how all but one track are DR 7, gotta love consistency!
Edit: The download code is only a shitty .mp3 version of the albums? What cheapskating is this?!

Edit again: It's just the iTunes version you get, it's right there in the tags. Seriously?!

I've played it for about 12 hours now. It is really good. IMO:
It's better than:
Teo and Tea (Did I really have to say that?)
Session 2000
GOL
Oxygene 3
Magnetic Fields (Yes, really!)
Revolutions (although there's nothing on EI has good as the first 16 mins)
Metamorphoses (only just)
Chronologie (only just)
Aero (if you can count that)
Music for Supermarkets (from what I've heard)
Waiting for Cousteau
Electronica Part 2 (if you can count that)
Not quite as good as:
Oxygene
Oxygene 7-13
Equinoxe
Zoolook
Rendez-Vous
The Concerts in China (Studio tracks)
Electronica Part 1 (if you can count that)

You put Rendez-Vous above Oxygene 3 and Magentic Fields? That's... Not something I'd expected to see

The missing track description for "The Watchers" is up at jeanmicheljarre.com
"‘The Watchers’ is the opening of the album. The track symbolises these creatures which certainly might seem familiar to a few people. They were looking at us from the cover of the first ‘Equinoxe’-album. In this movement of the new album they are reappearing and we still don’t know what they are about. Now they rise again and we discover that they may be from a very ancient past, wet and windy… But they are also timeless and we can feel that they could still be here after we have gone. The track is like the first scene of a movie of which we still don’t know how it will end.“"

As for the digital download containing shitty iTunes mp3s - well, perhaps it's a mistake and we should bring this up to JMJ's team attention? Were high-res downloads promised or just downloads? Does anyone remember?
EDIT: says WAVs in the instagram post about unboxing
"Unboxing the EQUINOXE PROJECT Boxset. The concept around it was to make it a visual experience. Including many of the incredible watcher designs by Filip Hodas and combining the two worlds of EQUINOXE and EQUINOXE INFINITY. It includes both albums as Vinyl Replica CDs, both albums on 180g Vinyl, a Scratchcard to download both albums as WAVs and four Posters. It´s manufactured in a limited run, so pre-order fast."

Yeah they've included either the wrong files or the promise was fake. If I have to be honest, I'm leaning towards the first, Planet Jarre was also lossless .wav
Edit: Don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but who's the asshole that's playing with people their OCD with the track colours?! They're out of order you bastard
Edit: Correct order of the colours should be (for those that care anyway): 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 6, 7, 10, 8, 9

Note how part six bass line merges into part 7 like the transition from the original Equinoxe part 6 to 7...........

Currently on All That You Leave Behind, so far really digging the music and the title perfectly fits this title. Man what a downer compared to the first three!
If the Wind Could Speak is a weird one, should've been way longer, but I adore it!
Infinity was the one people had problems with? Because I love it! Not what I expected of the album, but reminds me of a modern Calypso mixed with Equinoxe. Lots of fun!

I forwarded my suggestions to improve Oxygene Trilogy .
They were :
timings when sequences, pads, drums introduced;
altering drums; removing drums altogether (oxy16);
removing couple of minor parts album opener;
lowering octaves on three parts;
space for some elements to breathe more;
replacing 90s eurodance syncopated element in two places with something contemporary.
I shall same Equinfinity once Ive listened all the way through.
Equinoxe 1979 these changes would have improved upon this classic.
# Equinoxe 3 : repeating the spirit ravishing melody ...
recording them just twice each time is such a hurtful abruptness.
# Equinoxe 6 : altering terrible chord progressions ... so jarring, trying to be too clever.
More "trance" basic ear pleasing chord progression brings it into Ibiza, Goa.
# Equinoxe 7 : removing unnecessary cheesy drums.
# Equinoxe 8 end : repeating Equinoxe 5 Really ? ... Shirley havent run out of ideas. So easy to change the notes.
Michel Geiss, someone should advised JmJ.

Of course - a few pages back on this thread
http://www.zoolook.nl/forum/viewtopic.p ... 130#204130
Too bad. Otherwise I'd be keen to create a 40-minute visual with the colors changing gradually to match the track being played.
