Moog Little Phatty.

Congrats man. I was viewing some demo videos of this one today. it is still impressing me, but I think it sounded weak when I tried it out in the store some time ago. Again I have always hated testing synth in the shop due to the bad sound. I need to check it out again, eventhough Im not planning getting one. Too expensive for a student like me.

You'd be Quite surprised how good it sounds,Ok its not gonna be as Phat as the Voyager or an Original Model D,but its a typical Moog sound and real analog too,I never take those videos as how it sounds cos it depends on what its been recorded on and your Computer soundcard,I like to demo the synths in the shop,but again it depends on what Speaker/Amp Package they have them hooked up to,even with Headphones your not used to the sound of the headphones so your perception changes,

Whenever I demo a synth I always take my trusty BeyerDynamic DT990's with me,I'm used to how they sound so can judge better how a synth sounds through them.The Phatty stood up against any other synth and it astonished me how many different sounds you can get out of it,even though its filter is a static 24db Lo pass,it would have been nice to have a choice of other filters,but the 24db Lo pass is the Moog patent filter,Ok its got limited Modulation and knobs but its very easy to grasp how everything works and create your own sounds quickly,for the price your getting into that Moog territory on a budget,Build Quality is excellent too,when I saw one for the first time I Kind of felt it looked like it would be typically all plastic,and cheaply made but majority of it is metal and it looks like it would last a lot of gigging,its Quite heavy for its size too.feels really solid

Reccomend the Little Phatty to any synth head..Its fun to use,Haven't had this much fun on a dinky synth since getting the Prophecy,Keyboard has a nice Playing action to it as well

Yes you mentioned the idea about using headphones before. Sadly I often go into the store by coincidense if I am in the neighbourhood, so Im never really that good prepared for a decent soundcheck. No matter what it always give some kind of impression, but the depth of the sound is lost.
I like how easily you can get those classic Moog sounds compared to any other synths I have tried (No wonder since it's a moog).

Is the LP good for playing soli like Klaus Schulze is used to playing on his MiniMoog ?

Hey Radek, Nothing to do with this topic. But the idea of an forum based of the eminent 310U is very great. But most people don't understand not a word of all the discussions on that forum. It would be great for many people here on this forum and outside this blah-blah café-forum, that the Polish-eminent310U-forum is in english language. Because there also many people that have an eminent310U (most outside poland BTW). And than an "international eminent 310U-forum should more interesting, because most of the eminent 310U owners don't speak polish. And do not understand nothing about the information on the Polish forum. And it should also good for the eminent 310U. forum. More members, more interesting ideas and more interesting discussions. Because it is now the first forum based on the eminent 310U.
