Oxygène 2, 4 and 6 also has a single remix/edit version, O2 also lists O4 having longer length, possibly extended?

Just a question regarding Musik Aus Zeit Und Raum, I believe it was only released in Germany while other countries got different versions of The Essential JMJ. Can anyone confirm if the single mixes ever got released on any of these (as far as I know they didn't but I just want to be sure)? Also I remember that the Images VHS videotape also had some of the single mixes on that release (such as the Equinoxe 4 and Zoolook 7inch versions even the RendezVous 4 video started with the JFK speech intro) but I would like to know which version of Magnetic Fields 2 was on that video?

I know of the extended remix, but it's new to me that there's a normal single mix.

Magnetic Fields 2 single mix is subtlely different. The drums sound a bit different, but that could be due to mastering. The main difference is that it has a clean fade-out which doesn't have the noises from Magnetic Fields 3.

I admit I could never tell the difference between the video and album versions of MF2, I always thought it just faded out sooner on the video. Thanks for the info.

So it's on the single and is different version?

Slightly, mainly due to the fade-out. But I could be wrong.

The single also sounds like it has a slightly different lead sound, again could be down to mastering and there are some additional arpeggios which are not in the album version.

I would say that the key difference is an additional sequence layer that is not present on the album version. Compare 0:10 and 0:30:

Yeah, I just replayed the single, I noticed the sequence myself too.

That's correct. The Vinyl version of Musik aus Zeit und Raum contains single edits. The CD-releases contains album versions.
The Essential and Synthesis (the Italian release, with a different cover) contain album mixes.
Did you notice the difference between the Oxygene 4 album version and the single version?
The single version features 4 bars in the intro of before the lead melody begins while the album version has 5
