I did some rework on the EQ's... BD is still MP7... so there are now 2 MP7 sounds in this version. The rest is still EKO.

The clave is a single sound sample from the MP7 (yes I desoldered some wires). I know it's possible to tune the original MP7 sound but I refuge to do that... soldering wires is one thing but I'm terribly afraid when it comes to turning the variable resistor back to it's original position it will become a nightmare. So I detuned it in Halion. Downside is the click you hear on the sound also detunes...

Bingo! This is what I think that he used for drums on EQ4. You made a perfect example of what I tried to do earlier in the tread.

REVOX B77 MK II - 2-TRACKS - 7.5/15 CMS was used for Equinoxe and REVOX A77 - 2-TRACKS - 3.25/7.5 CMS was used on Oxygene.

The B77 MK II models have variable speed. So, he can use roughly any delay length he wanted the shorter the delay the brighter the delay and higher tape speed is. He could record the eminent and play it back with a slightly different speed and to our ears that sounds like it's detuned...

Hmmm... I just read "The Revox B77 MK II (not the MK I) contains a built-in vari-speed control with a range of ± 2 half-tones. for a larger range of ± 7 half-tones it is necessary to use the external vari-speed control." so that means not like I wrote above 'roughly any'...

If you compare this rip with the original... it's much brighter in color... less lower frequencies... and pitched up!! (just a few cents but still)... it is the eminent though but not just the stringensemble... it's with something extra probably some setting... I'll have a listen on the real 310 instead of my VSTi wich only can do the stringensemble....

OK soon we'll start some serius modifications of Minipops We'll try to include photos, schemes etc, so everyone will be albe to mod/create this stay tuned, we need some time

We plan to
- add sync function [easy]
- optionary the small LCD with BPM
- 2 minis in one... there'll be a button. you'll be able to switch factory rhytms with your own rhytm - we plan to make a matrix with sth like sequencer. you'll be able to create real time rhytm

Sounds good! especially the combination of two Minipops together with the step-sequencer. Real-time editing is allways nice.

I had occasion to discuss with Michel about this drumbox so here are some true facts:
- It was used on Equinoxe 4
- It was completely new drumbox
- that had nothing to do with MP7 - so it wasn't modded MP7
- it was controlled externally from sequencer
- jmj programmed eq4 rhytm on matrisequencer

Interesting. He must've used the matrisequencer on E4, E5, E6 & E7 basses as well.

If that is true. Then it's strange why Geiss made it sound so close to the Minipops 7? IMO it doesn't sounds very "new". So the guess that it's a gutted MP7 isn't that far out to me.
The only thing that I don't think sounds MP7 on Equinoxe 4 is the snare. That reminds me of the EKO.
