Jarre's first release was from 1968 - the single "Let Me Take Your Hands" with "The Dustbins"... Damn, we need more information about the album "La Psychosomnie, Methode Contre l'Insomnie"! We need scans/photos of the album (label A and B side, back cover) - maybe there is written the name of the composer of the music.

Or maybe someone can ask Mr. Jarre at the next live chat in the internet. Or after a concert of the forthcoming tour...

Looks like Hypnose is a single from that album. I think it's quite possible JMJ worked on it...

Hypnose is from 1973, the LP is from 1970. I'm still not convinced.

The album has only two long tracks, "La Psychosomnie" and "Methode Contre l'Insomnie". A few minutes ago I have checked the link to the seller of the record - this album is not anymore available. Maybe someone here from the forum has bought it - and can give us more information about it...

I have heard this album.

If the intended purpose of this album worked out on me, the following statements may be wrong.

The album contains Dominique Webb uttering hypnotizing french sentences. In the background you hear some weird synthesizer sounds, not even ambient soundscapes. The single Hypnose is NOT on the album.

Possibly it is François Wertheimer who wrote the music for "La Psychosomnie, Methode Contre l'Insomnie".
His worked with Webb since 1968: Festival de la magie. Olympia. Musique, et travail des techniques d'illusion.
But ofcourse it could be Jarre, there are no credits on the backcover of the LP, so someone who owns it would have to look on the record itself.

Interestingly, this F. Wertheimer was also an old schoolbuddy from Jarre !!

He could have been in the bands Mystere IV or The Dustbins?


But I also noticed something strange, at this website, I read in Jarre's bio:
"Jean-Michel Jarre has all the talents: author, composer but also director for Christophe's show in Olympia in 1975 in which we can see flying a piano."

But Dominique Webb also claims this, that it was his invention !?!

That's not a problem.. Directing a show with a trick of somebody else...
I'd like to see video's of this show. I've got the Olympia LP of Christophe. It features a couple of pieces with lyrics from JMJ.
