It's an album which I find is half great and half mediocre.

The great - Industrial Revolutions (especially Overture), Revolutions and Computer Weekend.

The rest I can give a miss to, with September being hideously cringe-worthingly awful and London Kid so incredibly cheesy. Tokyo Kid isn't so bad I guess, and Emigrant is ok but Calypso 3 is better in my opinion for that type of track.

Possibly Jarre's worst studio album until Oxygene 7-13 came along, and then Metamorphoses, Sessions, GOL, T&T...

Nice one and the improvisations or Oxygene Tour like extra stuff is great.

Dunno if there are any more Jarre replicas I want to hear (besides those already mentioned), but a replica of the full 8-minute End Titles of Blade Runner by Vangelis would be a pretty snazzy track to have.

The cristal baschet sound could be recreated with wine glasses filled with water, because it gives the samekind of sound what Cristal baschet produces

- Bells sequences are not good
- Eminent solo low string flangered missing
- Lead "piano" missing (just lead elka string machine phased in background)
- No fx
- No mix, no reverb

I spend long time on midi transcription. Especially phased string chords at the end.

Just a few pointers for this one, because it sounds damn good already, the feeling of the track is there, the phased strings, the lead at the start...
One of the most important things when doing these covers is to get the right amount of "vintage-ness" to them. Many people totally miss that, but this has it right away.

Transpose those bells at the start up an octave, or use other bells. Highpass them, cause I can hear the subs.

The main lead is a combo of two different patches, one on the left and the other on the right channel. The one on the left is more stringy, the one on the right is piano like.
I'm working from the remaster, so it could be the other way around on your one.

But even with all those things missing, very nice work man, best E3 cover.
And that's something, 'cause it's 3 years old.

No, not the kind I'm interested in at least.

I meant that as one gains talent and knowledge over the years, one becomes better at making authentic covers and music in general.
After all, getting the right timbres in covers of Jarre isn't the easiest thing, ya know!
