Oh Right, i need to EQ some presets?

right!... sorry, my english is not the best but i understand all, anyway, I'm Trying to make the Oxygene 5 Intro sound, the flanger sound with this VST but I need to put a Flanger Pedal to this ensemble, how i make this? i know the software is not the 100% authentic sound of Eminent obviously but is the only form to recreate the Jarre Sound very close, you know...

You need to use an organ sound to do the O5 intro, not a string sound which these ensembles represent.

Also add some vibrato prior to the flanger.

flanger setting: very slow rate, 25-35% depth, color set to 75%

setting low depth will affect creating very nice and long harmonics that are very characteristic for mistress

somebody test the Virtual String Machine ?? I have it, but i have a problem to make some sound....i can't activate it .....

I got these settings off a photo from a recent Oxy dvd/tour photo (can't remember which one)

From left to right on the tabs.

Gedeckt '8 > Diapason '8 > string '8 > Lower Manual > String '8 > Accent+Sustain > Salicional '8 > Octave '4 > String '4 > Oboe '8 > French Horn '8 > Trumpet '8.

String Ensemble upper 8' > sus
'' '' Lower Just sus.

It seems to give it more presence and a slight rasp.

I always thought that this one wasn't as good an emulation as I'd wanted it to be, but after recently having been rather disappointed by FXPansion's Amber, I went back to this to try and see if it could sound like Nostalgia's Eminent patches or Per Kristian's soundfonts.

Surprisingly yes. Changing some of the chorus settings, you can get an almost indistinguishable Eminent strings sound.
Before I was always frustrated with the chorus, as it was always too much, the signal was too wet and therefore you heard the swooshing of the chorus itself. Unlike some other string synths the Eminent's strings don't have this irritating effect, ie you can't hear the chorus, the strings sound clear, solid and resonant. Rather than muddy, airy and thin.

And now comparing it to the samples, it sounds better because the sound's constantly moving. Before samples always trumped everything else.

Freeware wins the day again, unbelievably.
