T&T - 1 year later - Hows it going with the fans?

Just listened to it tonight. You know what it is...it's the time between albums.

If Téo & Téa was released say, a year or two after Metamorphoses then I'd say no big deal, a fun little album and we would probably have word that Jarre was back in the studio working on the next thing. But now...

7 years after Meta and all we hear is the Israel concert, rumors of other concerts and nothing really going on musically. Or maybe it's all "hush-hush and on the QT" to quote LA Confidential.


I just hope this thread doesn't become 5 months and a year later and hows it going...

Just think the time for secrecy is over... the time for concerts rehashing the same songs is over... I have to believe Jarre has more musical ideas still unrealized.

Still keeping the faith...barely.

I think the figures could be like this because the album was leaked on the internet, and maybe some people thought it pointless to buy the original album. I am not trying to makes excuses but just formulating my opinion. :fine:

I actually thought Teo & Tea was a massive dissapointment when i first heard it, because i was expecting an album of magical 10 minute long soundscapes.

but it actually arrived at the most perfect time for me, fresh and hitting the right emotions. It's definately one of my favourite albums. I still listen to it loads. I won't like another album in this style though, its time for a magical world again :D

I blame the (state of the) music industry, where Idols and empty headed teens dominate and release music too. And the crappy R&B, which is as exciting as a wet fart. I'm sorry, but sales don't say anything nowadays.

You are entirely right, and not only because of downloadings, but for example, when you lay/copy a CD to a friend, who will copy it aswell...

I agree that too much crappy music has taken over, but I'd like to do some projects headed at the mainstreammarket (within electronic music) just to see how popular it can get with a lot of irony, without doing anything crappy as Basshunter :wink:

30.000 ........... I knew it would sell little, but couldn't imagine just 30.000 :cry:

The album failed, and will be forgotten at best. But the worst thing which can happen is that it will spoil Jarre's name forever......

I truly doubt that.
Very few people know he actually still makes music, and the few who do know are usually music fanatics who are mature enough to understand his output can't please everyone...

And I´m hearing the album again! :D

The title track itself is a great partysong! It makes you happy! A really simple but great track! :D Beuatyful Agony also makes me happy! It´s sooo childish as Jarre himself! :P

Only Jarre can make such tracks!!! :D

I´m happy to see a new analog album from him, but I don´t hope he forgets the childish elements on it! :P We don´t like "Too serious" :D But I´m sure I don´t have to be afraid of that! :wink: Jarre never were and never will be "Too serious"! And thank god for that! :D

Teo&Tea is Jarre like he was 10 years old! :D And I like that! I guess you have to be a child yourself to appreciate it fully :P Hehe

A great fun album for what it is! :wink:
