Breaking News - A freak accident has occured this afternoon at the 'Cadbury' chocolate factory in Birmingham, United Kindgom. During a routene Easter visit to the works, the Easter bunny accidently tripped and fell into the chocolate machine. Police are NOT asking for witnesses as they say they have the case licked.

I feel so sad for the boy. He is not a parcel to hand back, if not wanted. If she changed her mind, she should have done it the civilized way. Not send him back, alone. I hope she will be punished for her actions. He is just a small boy no matter what behavior problems he has according to her letter.

It is hard not to even be moved by this.

I must confess, it even upset me. I hope this little 8 year old girl is now safe in gods arms, at peace and away from all that pain.

This is very sad but it didn't upset me. This may seem callas but I've been studying cases like this (and worse) for over 25 years and this is nothing compared to some cases. Jack the Ripper, the Black Panther, Jeffrey Dahmer, Fred West, etc all had the ability to commit the most evil of acts; did their conscience stop them from commiting their crimes? No. Man can be the most compassionate being on Earth but also the most cruel. Over the last 25 years I think I've become hardened to what goes on; nothing man does shocks me any more.

I read that yesterday. Crazy that the parents are jailed for a year.

Through out the human history all kinds of punishments has been allowed against our childrens. In Sweden's case it's a loong tradition resting on strong Christian foundations to the whole society of which law makers still are struggling. Today things are different and the laws has to be modified and "modernized" for the better to mistreated kids...but it's a complicated process and it takes a lot of time and effort for the law 'constructors'.
It's a question of time...and conscience.

When children in Sweden are naughty, they are sent to a shed where they can sit and carve figures out of wood.
