welcome gooner265 in this forum... yeah, Nico is right... when would you be coming? We could then catch up with ya on the train station where the Eurostar arrives.... So no worries about your French Image

Thanks for the welcome guys. Just to introduce myself , I've been a fan since I bought the vinyl of Oxygene in the early 80s and it spiraled from there. I went to Docklands on the Saturday night which wasn't quite as wet as the Sunday  and I also went to to Defense concert in Paris which was amazing. The chronologie concert at Wembley Stadium was the last time I saw him , I have to say I like a lot of you prefer his earlier stuff and I love the anologue synths which I was pleased to see Depeche Mode ( one of my fave bands) using again last year.

I was thinking of going on a weekday as the train is cheaper and looking for a hotel overnight to stay and come back the next day. I could get a day off at short notice probably so I can be quite flexible in that way.

@jamiejeff... thanks for your information (no problem, your English is perfectly understandable). Please also post your message in this thread, as it deals with what to take care of when in Paris

Are there fans from Holland here on blahblahcafe who are going on 18th or 19th?

And/or maybe some can help to find me a place to crash for the night in Paris? A simple strecher will do just fine...

About the strikes ... as I remembered three weeks ago, there were no big problem with the eurostar and the thalys ( maybe 2/3 for the thalys and no problem for the eurostar ) but most of the problem will be with the subway and the bus ... so prepare to walk if this news will be confirmed ...
