Hello everybody from Braunschweig, Germany. Concert is over, not so good news from here, the location has about 4500 capacity and i think there were about 2000 maximum, so not even half sold out....

Mood in the audience was not good, many people left the concert at half time (during theremin part)....more to come tomorrow, im really tired for now.....

Hello,
we just returned from the concert in Braunschweig - and all I can say is: AMAZING!
Visual effects seemed to be better than in Katowice - a LOT of lasers during the second half of the concert!
I did not expect that after watching the clips on youtube.
Only very few technical problems here, the audience (very calm at the beginning) became more and more enthusiastic during each track.
After a fantastic Chronology 2 the maestro had them ALL on his side...
We enjoyed it so much - thank you, Jean Michel

Obviously a Depeche Mode fan will not as praise JMJ as DM.

Dont get me wrong, i love the music of JMJ.

Todays local newspaper also had a not so good opinion of the concert, saying that "these laser and projection effects these days are almost normal on every bigger concert. The music doesnt sound as fresh as some 10 or 20 years before".... and so on.

For me the concert was very good, but as i said almost half of the tickets sold, a very cold crowd, people leaving when the concert was about half-time and many bored faces in our row.....

I dont know how the ticket sales for the other german shows are going, as far as i know the locations are bigger than in braunschweig..... i hope he doesnt have to play again in front of a half filled concert hall.....

I am big fan of DM (maybe like "martin-gore" member) and I love live drums and guitars on stage. I have seen the video from Oxygene 97 tour few days ago and it is absolutely different indoor concert tour. Fanatic (no seats) audience before stage, percussion, drums, bass guitar - wow - it is Jean-Michel which I want back.

I prefer rock music (like Mike Patton, Korn, Alice in Chains, Suicidle Tendencies or Living Colour). Depeche Mode + Jean Michel are rare exception because of their very good connection of synthesizers, guitars, live drums and light show.

Now I prefer Depeche show to Jarre´s show because for me the Jarre´s show looks a little bit intimate, without punch up energy and boring. I like dancing, whistling or singing during concerts. I like if I get sweaty because of "continually standing dance" with the music.

This I miss during last Jarre´s tours and I don´t want be dissapointed...

No risk from Jarre to select on his back catalogue, even nor attempt to innovate his music. Sounds like a farewell tour anyway.

I see that speculation is ripe around these parts of late.

Probably because they expected something "groundbreaking". Expectations are running too high with multi-media events like these. Can't please everyone and everyone can't be pleased. As they say "everyone's a critic". If you take your own "critique" into consideration, you can't go wrong. Personally I don't bother with other peoples reviews. If I like something, for me thats a good view.

I can report tens of thousands of comments on Youtube on how fresh Jarre's ( instrumental ) music is.

Depeche Mode is fine in its genre and Jean Michel in his.
