JEAN-MICHEL JARRE ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF ‘LIVE IN BRATISLAVA’

Released worldwide via sony music entertainment on september 5, 2025 Includes unseen director’s cut, complete audio recording, and limited edition ultimate collector’s box set

Jean-Michel Jarre has announced the release of ‘, the definitive audio-visual record of his historic open-air concert-event ‘Bridge From The Future’, performed on May 12, 2024 in Slovakia. The release lands worldwide on September 5, 2025 and is available to pre-order now, including a limited Ultimate Collector’s Box Set.

The concert saw over 100,000 people gather across the city of Bratislava and along the banks of the Danube to witness an extraordinary collaboration between Jarre and special guest Sir Brian May, set against the iconic backdrop of the SNP (UFO) Bridge. A further global audience of millions tuned in via livestream and TV broadcast.

Now, for the first time, the full 22-track performance is available across a range of deluxe formats, including a brand new unseen Director’s Cut of the concert film, remastered audio, exclusive vinyl, and a 40-page coffee table photo book documenting this once-in-a-lifetime production.

Staged as the opening event of the seventh edition of STARMUS Festival, ‘Bridge From The Future’ was Jarre’s most ambitious live production to date. A sweeping sci-fi soundscape with stunning visual storytelling, choreographed light and laser displays, a 400-drone ballet, fireworks, and an architectural stage, designed by Jarre, that framed the iconic UFO Bridge with twin 30-metre towers.

The concert also marked an historic first-time collaboration between Jarre and Queen guitarist Sir Brian May, who joined him on stage for a powerful new arrangement of Dvořák’s ‘New World Symphony’ as well as newly adapted works ‘Bratislava Time’ and ‘Rendez-vous Bratislava’. Jarre was accompanied by longtime collaborator Claude Samard and rising British artist Adiescar Chase, with contributions from the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and a 19-piece chorus from the Slovak Philharmonic Choir.

Constructed over a month by a crew of over 100, the mammoth set incorporated more than 170 tonnes of equipment, 21 LED screens, 150 projectors, and hundreds of kilometres of cabling — making it the largest stage ever built in Slovakia.

As crowds gathered throughout Bratislava, they were welcomed by a brand new Jean-Michel Jarre composition ‘Bridge From The Future’ - an immersive ambient piece weaving real sounds from the stars with atmospheric electronics. This meditative introduction, inspired by the theme of the STARMUS Festival, is available only on the blue 10" vinyl included in the Ultimate Collector’s Box Set.

Jean-Michel Jarre said: “Since that very special night in Bratislava, we’ve worked with a brilliant creative team to bring together the most complete, cinematic version of the concert possible. The sound on this release comes from the live TV broadcast of the concert, capturing the raw, in-the-moment energy of the performance. I’m proud to finally share this with everyone. Not only those who joined us in Slovakia or watched online, but all who want to relive the experience.

JeromeTV just made a good remark: Maybe the upscaling of the stereo to 5.1 wasn't up to par for JMJ?

I mean, yeah, though I meant it in the sense that the other live concerts like Performance Tour havent been re-released on DVD either since the early-to-mid-2000s

I like how the cover art sort of mirrors the cover art of the 1997 remaster of Docklands

Frustrating that Bridge From The Future, the wonderful pre-concert ambient track, will only be made available on the vinyl release 🙁

I hope he uses Bridge From The Future as pre-concert music for this summer's tour rather than Waiting For Cousteau. Actually, thinking more about this, perhaps it should remain a Bratislava memory. WFC is the default defacto track. He should stick with this.

That's a good looking set, will go for that one, feels like the better deal, especially with that LP included.

I see noted on the rear of the Blu-Ray that the audio and video were sourced directly from the SVT TV feed and in stereo. JMJ also notes that was upmixed to 5.1 and whilst not perfect in his estimation is certainly good enough for a release. Fourth picture down: Bratislave Box Set

:( The audio was indeed meh on that broadcast.

Given however that the video was also sourced from the SVT TV feed how is a "director's cut" possible then?

I find the boxset coherent and necessarily difficult not to give in...

Can someone tell me if the jpc.de website charges when ordering or when shipping? And what feedback has been received from this website?
Thanks !

SVT TV can have another angles shots, right?

By the way, JMJ official page says bluray film is in 4K, but as I can see in Bluray's case, it says BD50, and generally, BD50 is used for 1080p format.

If I'm reading this right, the 10" vinyl contains just one track, Bridge From The Future. Is this right? The full concert track list is on the 2 x CDs not on vinyl.

They charge when shipping. You can trust this shop, I ordered for years and many times there.
