I have the 106... It's not used a lot at the moment (well I haven't turned on any synth for a week, this explains that).

Finally I've got it! It was in pretty good condition (no noisy sliders or hard buttons and the aftertouch works too).

The only thing that is a bit tired on it is the modulation joystick. Pitching works fine but the modulation is just working sporadically. Probably dirt... I've also got the manual and even two set of cards..dance and standard drums.

$500 with shipping to my my front door was a great price I believe.

After a factory reset and a self-test mode I've just been listening.

Love the keyboard and also some of the sounds that Roland has put in it. I'm really looking forward to make some sounds myself now.

And the keys feel very good on the JD800, imo.

Congrats with the new synth. I am just waiting for a Nordlead 2 to be on sale where I live, it can take some time.

A very nice and comfy keyboard...but how hard are you supposed to press for the aftertouch to take effect? I get a full 127 in the "test program" for aftertouch but I have to press quite hard to hear the effect!?

You may need to restore it. Find some more info here

But that only seems to be if you're getting a low reading in the self-test mode..I'm getting a full reading? How hard do you have to press on your JD-800 to hear the aftertouch GeeJee?

I had to press quite hard on mine to make it work. I don't like to use it too much I'm a bit scared to press to hard.
