Which strings? The synth tracks from the original revolution, or the shipyard orchestral cover?

The original synth string were from Roland, form what I've read.

And for the shipyard cover I'm pretty sure they were made using real instruments, dubbed in an actual studio:

I was talking about the orchestral part. Did you use the separated 5.1 version to get all the notes of the string orchestral part ?

Original is from the D-50 yes. Many sounds of Revolution in fact…

Nope, not aware of an 5.1 version of shipyard opening. I just used my ears
There's a very high chance I've missed some stuff or hallucinated some notes in the remake... It's all very compressed and quiet. I've check both TV Broadcast and DVD version, TV is cleaner though

I don’t have the dvd but on the cover a 5.1 audio track k is mentioned, if it is correct it could help sequencing. I will try to check that.

Oh the CD release, I had that along the DVD but I remember the quality was disappointingly bad. It was funny though, the Red Leppelin Flanger drum was playing through the 1st solo instead of the one that normally plays during the concert!

Edit: it is in 5.1, I just didn't extracted it properly, will try again...
