No, I don't even know who he is. But if Starink can have fans, so can he.

It was Starink after all who introduced me to the world of synth music, and his covers are not bad, but at the time I didn't know the original tracks. After I heard those, I never listened to the Starink covers anymore. I think most of those covers are quite nice versions, not bad work at all, maybe some poor arrangement and poor sound choice here and there, but I wouldn't say it sucks. I would say that about his own works, at least those I have heard, I don't like them at all.

I think it's blasphemous to praise an “artist” like Starink, who make bad cover versions of Jarre's most famous works, on a forum dedicated to Jarre.

Well, of course it's your right to deny Ed Starink's skills and also his status "artist". We know it better.

He is an adorable musician and composer who has a damn good reputation (of course not by small minded people). And he is a great concert pianist...

But as I often have written: it's senseless to discuss with people like you about that. You are biased and have your biased opinion.
