The JP8K is one of the best looking synths ever made(shame its plastic though,would have been nice to keep the styling of the original Jupee 8 metal chassis)....I will eventually get a Keyboard edition,have to make do with the rack for the time being.

Oh its also sounds good too....which is always a bonus

Yes, that's sad! I had it with my sequencer. I just recorded an entire song, and the electricity fell out before I saved it.

I wouldn't mind that...

This could go cheap as many people would be put off by its looks after the owner has de-faced the synth. But you have to look past things like this and anyone who knows what there doing should be able to get this back into a decent shape.

Or you could always order a new paintjob in a new color...

I know its his to deface,but why spend good money on a synth to act as a notepad???
I can understand people leaving notes as reminders or in Radek Tymecki's case getting Jarre to autograph it bit FFS half of this is totally non sensical???Is the Guy that mentally retared that he can't recall what the functions do????I mean its one of the easiest synths to use,everything is laid out for you???

It looks like Tipex to me.

If it is, submerge the case in hot water and that should (hopefully) begin to flake and fall away.

I will ask the seller what it is. . . . .

EDIT: Ebayer is selling it on behalf of someone else. Says he has tried to remove the lettering with white spirit and it won't come off.

Using white Spirit will do more damage than good,I once read on a Forum where some guy had used Nail Varnish remover,to clean his Keyboard keys, because he thought it was a cleaning agent which would remove heavy soilings then couldn't understand why his keys had lost its gloss!!!!!

Errr....do you not realise what the chemicals used in varnish remover are for!!!There really are some dumbass people about... its like using Brake Fluid to clean your car!!!!it may well remove the Tar spots but it'll take the paint sheen with it too...


Even if he's selling it on behalf of someone else(which i doubt he probably is more than likely a get out clause to avoid answering loads of Unforseen or awkward Qs)but even still he should be slapped for not chinning his mate for defacing it he's an accomplice LOL
