But a little bit expensive for a midicontroller, isn't it? You could better buy a cheep midicontroller, and built a mellotron-case yourself.

Well, I am using the "batsounds mellosound" one... I think it is great and sounds pretty much like some Tangerine Jarre tracks.... and it's free

Yes that's what I have seen people do and it looks pretty nice.
