I thought when I heard GOL that this lead synth was a soft-synth, like something from Native Instruments.
I tried Pro-53 and I had the feeling it has a very similar sonic character.
(Never did an A/B test, never played the MicroKorg, just heard this sound)

GOL sound is from the microKorg no doubt, recognized it imediatly upon listening the album.

However, is one of the worst sounds the micro has... *ahem*
Ya know... opinions, opinions...

It was probably one of the first "presets" I got rid of... useless.

That's a matter of taste. I think I like it mostly because it was used on GoL, and I don't think it sounds stupid on that track or thse tracks.

I did say it was a matter of taste ("opinions, opinions, ya know...") and never said it was stupid to use it in GoL, just that was one of the first I got rid of... still, got it along long enough to recognize it in GoL.

Hehe, I screwed the wood sidepanels back on yesterday after taking them off to fit on my old "module" stand.
Everything feels a whole lot more retro with them back on!

Btw. that wind sound from your second demo, you can actually include that bellsound or whatever it is heard in the beginning of Oxygene 4.

Now when we are at it, b.35 'Lazy Pitch' was also used on 'The Voyage' from Rendez-Vous In Space. However these also the Children Of Space/Velvet Road 4th pad were from MS-2000 which has almost the same patches as the microkorg.

The Oxygene 4 'wind' sound is just a preset patch from the MK (A.62 - Water Edge). I have done nothing with it other than record it directly from the MK. The bell chime you hear that starts it off is part of the preset.

Yes I know that, you probablt just took off the arpeggiator but the second layer sound can still be heard and you can make that sound like the Oxygene 4 bell.
