I'm very happy that I've finally got my hands on a Europe in Concert programme to add to my collection, as well as a free newspaper that came with it!





Definitely one of the coolest things that I have in my collection so far.

Recently I finally got the official Gdansk cd/dvd and Oxygene cd with Live in your living room dvd.

And I recieved from a friend Some cd-singles with Oxygene remixes part 8, 7 and 10. And the Chronologie 6 EP with Slam & Gat Decor remixes

I recently got my hands on a Paris La Défense t-shirt in amazing condition on Vinted!



Very happy since it only cost around £30 (the other listing I found on eBay was going for around £300 with stains and whatnot), can't wait to wear this thing every time I go out from now on!

I finally got it! I got a copy of Chronologie on LP!!!

I'm so unbelievably excited that I get to add this to my collection, I never thought I would actually be able to find one in such amazing condition, but here we are!



The chronology of... "Chronologie" in my collection is (mostly) complete! (Minus the VHS of course... )

Taken directly from the listing description:

"Rare 1993 German 8-track LP, the first and only pressing of the album."

I'm not sure how accurate the description is in terms of rarity, but I was specifically hunting for originals released in '93 online. I was looking for them based on the design on the back of the sleeve since I'm pretty sure the original pressings feature a single human figure on them rather than the photo of Jarre in the studio present on the 2018 remaster.

Plus, the 2018 LP is called "Chronology", which is a thorn in the side for quite some people (at least for some people here ). The album got a vinyl release in Spain, Greece, Korea and Brazil too, but I think you can't go wrong with this one. The Brazil one is weird, it has Chronologie 1-4 on side A, 5-8 on side B.

That oddity with the Brazilian release is pretty weird, why have parts 1-4 on side A when part 3 already has a fade-out ending? What an odd choice on their part...

The thing I like the most about this German pressing though is the fact that the sticker in the middle of the vinyl has "CHRONOLOGIE" written out in the same font as Jarre's name at the top of the cover. It's a small detail that most people probably don't care about, but I think it just adds a little extra to it.

Plus, the heartbeats, bass and drums coming through my speakers was like nothing I'd ever heard before. I've only ever been able to listen to the album online until today, a totally different listening experience for sure!

I can't remember if the German LP version has this thing (I got a copy in 2007, but sold it a long time ago), but the Korean LP version made me realize for the first time that during Chronologie 4, the hi-hats actually stop for a bit in the percussion sequence, whereas on other mixes it wasn't as audible so I never noticed it viewtopic.php?p=210842#p210842

(Sure, these days I can sort of hear it on other versions as well but this LP one was the first time I could immediately notice it )

I own the Brazilian pressing, I love that it for some odd reason has 1-4 on the first side. There's no good reason whatsoever for it, but it does get a laugh out of me.

Went to another record fare today and was pleasantly surprised to find Rendez-Vous and a sealed copy of Amazonia!



I've been on the hunt for Rendez-Vous for a while now and I thought I'd need to purchase a copy online, so getting to add it to my collection today brings me a lot of joy.

(Coincidentally, I happened to pick up a penny from the ground before I went. Maybe lucky pennies really do work... )
