That I sent away a letter to my fathers friend anyway, telling him and his wife about my situation and that if he wants my fathers and mothers garden to be so perfect he could do it himself. I feel like a bad person but all I did was to tell him the truth and tell him that I do not think he is a good friend if he can't spare a little time with my dad helping him out...but what the heck, I guess this is the first time I really do say No...

It has been rumored that my other debit card will cease to work on international purchases soon enough, but simultaneously my old debit card has supposedly started to work with international shops, even PayPal... except that I tried paying for an item with the old debit card and it didn't work  so now I have to wonder how long it will take for my new debit card to stop working on PayPal etc. :|

...get a third one... simple as that

Except that I don't think the third one is compatible with a lot of Internet places either, the new one I got was called the king of debit cards because it 99.9% of the time succeeds in masquerading as a normal VISA card so it (still) works on places that support just VISA (instead of Electron).

Of course these problems will be solved when I get a steady income and can get a credit card but before that, I sure hope this "king card" won't die on me in a long time (at least not before it expires, that being 2010): :P

Our postal workers (Royal Mail) are commencing the first of two virtually consecutive 48 hour strikes today, which effectively will mean that anything posted now will not be delivered until next Thursday at the earliest. This will affect mail coming from aboard, once it has reached in the UK. So there will be a delay, for me to receive Francis Rimbert’s album Snap Shots. :(

I hate it when goverment instances strike. I personally think it should be forbidden because people who have nothing to do with their problems are affected in a negative manner.
