I can only echo what kanta said.... 
But it's much colder up here because we've got open countryside, playing fields, farm and all that kind of stuff around here - we're actually situated on a 'bluff' so it really gets bad here when it does get bad...
It's snowed off and on all day here and looking at google earth, there's a whole thick heavy wadge of white stuff headed our way - which it can deposit if it wants to because I've no plans to go out anywhere on Monday anyway (or Tuesday too for that fact
) but I may be tempted to venture out locally if there's anything significant overnight
How does one amuse oneself in these situations? easy.. plenty of games, VSTi's to play around with and tv to avoid
stay safe fellow UKers, it's gonna be a rough start to the week

Forget coming to the UK right now - for some reason (POSSIBLY BECAUSE ITS WINTER) we're currently snowed in and unable to land your plane. On top of that, the rest of our transport infrastructure is in disarray due to A BIT OF SNOW.
However, if you're prepared to wait until spring - good... we can do spring... there's no SNOW in spring...
For the meantime, this funny white stuff will continue to elude/fascinate/frustrate the UK into submission.

yeah, totally true.. it makes me laugh every time...
In London, tubes aren't running, neither are buses, trains are seriously delayed, flights aren't happening and its almost as though most of the country has come to a standstill.. little realising in a few short days the snow probably won't be around....
Good ol' Boris Johnson though - he's suspended the congestion charge for today... bless him... hahaha! I'm watching the weather in London via itvlocal.com (select your region and then 'live views') and all I see is snowball fights in Leicester sq and along Brighton beach...
It's been snowing like fuggery here in Manchester.... there are still buses and trains and flights (although some are mostly delayed) and the metrolink seems ok (I guess, havent seen anything about that so I assume they're still operational).
Granted, it's too bloody cold to go out taking pics, but as there's more snow forecast, I may take the plunge tomorrow....
And yeah, I haven't seen weather like this since Feb 1991... -11C and no heating in my then new flat where I had to spend the night with a flask of coffee, a radio and get huddled up in 90% of the clothes I owned and a duvet until the electricity supply was connected and switched on the following day...
I still love the cold weather...
