Yes, of course. If we all had the same opinion life would be rather boring, wouldn't it?

I wouldn't say they suck and even I knew some originals before (Vangelis, Ecama, Kraftwerk, ...), but I like many (not everything!) of Ed's arrangements. And I don't have problems with cover versions of instrumental synthesizer music (unless they were by Gino Marinello or Russel B. ). For me there is no difference to a cover version of an usual pop song (like Joe Cocker's for example). Some are good, others not.

And I also like his clever and fancy way to arrange and produce music (not only cover versions, also classic titles and own compositions). I admire him much and I really like his musical work. By the way: jp8000 seems to listen much more to Starink covers than I do!

I agree that some arrangements sound too polished and probably with a lack of atmosphere, but nevertheless they are good (or at least acceptable).

And yes: for a newbie Synthesizer Greatest are/were a good start into the world of electronic music.

I discovered JMJ due to cover versions of Ed Starink. Without him I now would not write here.
