Published 2 March 2015
The International Confederation of Authors and Composers (CISAC), chaired by the musician Jean-Michel Jarre, impatient on digital revenues "represent only 5% of the total." Member, SACEM always advocated a tax on hosts.
"We thank you often at companies that control the distribution channels of our works. The current digital environment, whose creators are the most fragile players, we made the badly needed, "says the pioneer of electronic music Jean-Michel Jarre (photo), president since June 2013 CISAC, which represents a total of Worldwide, more than 3 million beneficiaries, music creators and songs for the most (87.2% of revenue), but also films, books, paintings, poems or illustrations.

Overall, 230 collecting societies members of CISAC - which was created in 1926 and moved to France in Neuilly-sur-Seine, near the SACEM who is a member - have collected all together more than 7.7 billion for the year 2013 (the overall balance with a lag of a year).
But this year, the impatience of CISAC is perceptible on the amounts received from the digital world. "The rights relating to digital increased by 25% but still represent only 5% of total global perceptions," says CEO of Confederation, Gadi Oron. The "digital & multimedia" (dixit terminology CISAC) reported for the year of € 380 million.
