At first I thought of sift then soft then sort then smut, but that just didn't go well with the context. Image

There will also be some additional processing on those in Equinoxe 4 sounds as Jarre's attempt to replicate live during the China concerts sounded nothing like the original

http://www.mediafire.com/?gwihzommuin This is how close I can get so far on a Nordlead.
You know I don't think he tried to replicate them, he went one better and did a 'live' version. Which means he did the alternative, maybe something he could've done originally. Or he had no intention of replication in the first place, but something different timbrally, yet controllable in the same way with the joystick.

Whatever did happen to this lawsuit?

I agree with all those who thought the "New Master Recording" was surely just a new *mixdown* from the original multi-tracks, albeit a very meticulous, digitally-controlled one.

In those days it was very common to add a lot of FX stuff manually during mixdown, so JM would have had to re-create loads of tape echo and reverb and stuff when he did the new mix, I bet. It must've been incredibly fiddly!

Interesting - of course, it does not explicitly state this, but looks as if Jarre agreed with Dreyfus that he was clearly violating the copyright and so they settled out of court.

The section after that on the (lack of) DVD releases is odd - it says they have the 1" PAL videotape masters and were going to press DVDs but then destroyed them after pressing?! Doesn't really say WHY though!
