It seems that many of you know many things.
Strange that they are not coincident!

Well,i hope that it will be a good album, but i am afraid that it will be another "doodle doodle doodle"album
Sorry for saying that, but i.m.o. Jarre hasn't released a good album since Oxygene 7-13.....and a few tracks on Metamorphoses.
I like the old jarre style and when he released an album,he always came with new sounds and soundscapes but the last few albums it was very boring.

I hope the new album wil contains dreamy soundscapes, amazing bass & sequencer parts, driving rhythms and that feeling that get you excited!!

But i m afraid those days are gone.................... :(

Jarre could perform an album with the use of an empty bottle and dustbin lids and it would still sound good - and I would still buy it :D

Trouble is you cant please everyone,On the one hand most people would prefer another Oxygene style album, but again then it becomes a Cliche like hes a one card trick man...

I agree in some respects that since 07-13 he has drifted away from the usual Jarre project, but to me I like the fact he can evolve and do different things,I like metamorphoses, its not the best ,but its fresh and makes a pleasant change, plus GOL for me is one of his best albums,up there with the likes of Oxy/Eq/Chronologie...

As I've said before, you can't please everyone and for Jarre to release material on the pretence of pleasing an Audience is not an artistic move its a commercial one,and Jarre would be foolish to follow expectations instead of his Artistic nature, irrespective of his style,as with any artist, they will gain new fans and lose old fans, but along the way they also retain Many fans because those loyal followers will evolve with the artist too,how many of us somehow probably disliked metamophoses to begin with, but eventually grew to like it,thats how fan evolve even though you may not think you have....I didnt really like GOL to begin with, but after some persistence ans the right Mood I began to like it,to the point now where its one of my favourite albums of his...

I have no preconceptions or expectations of this new album,It is what it is....and i respect Jarre enough to trust his artistic nature to deliver some great work, even if its not what people want. Its his work and none of us has a say in what he does for artistical reasons

I must admit that it took me a few listenings of 'Sessions 2000' to get to like the album for what it is. It would appear that the days of Oxygene, Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields and Chronologie have long gone, with Jarre keeping up with todays moods in music. Synths have come a very long way since Jarres early days. Im just gratefull that he's still going were he could have jacked it in a long time ago.

My hats off to Jarre :D

Hmmm ...
Jarre himself has said a lot about his own music through the years,
sometimes with a serious mind and sometimes with humour.
He said once that for example oxygene 4 was a work
from the link between the conscious and the subconscious,
and when he worked with oxygene 7-13, he tried to find back to this mood again.

When he worked with Metamorphoses he had the album Zoolook on his mind,
and he tried to change this mood from the past to something that could fit to the year 2000,
to the performance in Cairo....Metamorphoses ,
the title Methamorphoses, as he said
... because of his will to change,
in his private life and musically also!

And I think 'Metamorphoses" is a beautiful work by Jean-Michel Jarre...
…very sensitive, and we can see an even more mature artist on the stage in Cairo,
-that’s my opinion.

Today I think “Je Me Souviens” and “Gloria Lonely Boy” are the most
personal and beautiful tracks from the album, but I like the whole album.

I did read from one of his last interviews that if he was not a musician,
-he would like to be a carpenter
… I can imagine the sound from a hammer from his next album!

I look forward to the next album,- new music by Jarre..

but in the same mood....

music from the skin of his heart!

Greetings Tur :)
