Well Either Model are increasingly shrinking in numbers,I've only ever seen either model on Maarketplaats,and suppose thats only because they were made In Holland so the mass buying of such organs was More than largely done in the Netherlands,Given the actual date of Manufacturing of the 310's I would say that the majority of either model have been skipped or dumped somewhere over the years by the owners,due to unreliability or just not wanted anymore,most of which owners are oblivious to its Jarre status,given that the Organ fashion has died in the past 10-15 Years or so,many considered them worthless so they ended up on the Rubbish tip,I have seen several old Organs dumped at the local waste disposal on the few occasions I've gone there,and suppose that was the fate of many of the 310 Models in Holland over the years alsoJakob BC wrote:Hmm then it makes sense anyway, it's just like it is more common in here. I much prefer the actual 310 U model,but either model would be fine to a Jarre fan(Unless you want true Authenticity,that why I wanted the 310U) but its the sound that matters,I prefer the theatre Model in the natural wood to the white..
Most Organ shops I've been into tend to not have anything to do with Eminent 2nd hand organs,and one guy I spoke to said they have dumped several models in the past due to eminent no longer in business so the organs are pretty worthless,and they only really used to take them in as a exchange when somebody was buying a new organ from the shop,so chances are because of this there have been many 310's dumped for this reason alone,none of the dealers I spoke have ever come across either 310 model or any recolection of it whatsoever,so I wonder if any were actualyl shipped to the UK during its production run
I searched the length and breath of the UK organ shops for some hope that I would get hold of a 310 lurking in some storeroom left for dead,infact I had been searching for one for around 5-6 Years,even Maarketplaats(under the instruction of LeoDav to look there)until I struck lucky,but this was a private sale ad and not an Organ shop or on Maarketplaats
I've seen several 310s on there,but didn't want the hassle of shipping etc,thankfully after waiting long enough I got myself a 310 but suspect that its a once in a lifetime oppurtunity unless you striek lucky from Maarketplaats or know of anyone selling one,I don't use the Eminent at all nowadays and its been stored away for the last 6 months,but I have no intention of selling it whatsoever.
For those of you wanting one,just keep looking,I almost had given up of getting one,I'm sure there is still plenty of them left,just got to keep an eye out for them,and chances are you'll get a good deal on one unless its from a fellow Jarre fan,who knows the value and interest of these organs
If such things just happened locally then and one could be on the right place at the right time
