On this same topic...which release of Live / Destination Docklands is the best mastering. The original I assume???
And why change the title and cover artwork. Maybe the title I can understand but I love the white cover with the brush strokes on the front. (makes me think of something abstract from Picasso).
Also, The original Images had transitions (I think???) or edited to make the tracks merge seemlessly (or at least to flow from one to the next in some order of Jarre's choosing I assume) but the Sony Remastered version of Images has 20 tracks-an addition of 3 tracks.
Did Jarre choose to add these as well or was it a marketing thing? I wonder what people prefer between the two release (or 3 releases if you count the difference between the Euro and French release).
I have an original copy of Destination Jarre where they talk about there being a relase of the Paris La Defense concert on CD (to accompany the VHS) but at the last minute Polydor decided that there were two many live Jarre CD releases at the time so they instead released Images. What an idiotic move!
