Hehe, the strings are from my keyboard, so yes, the same samples as Midi.

I need a new synth/workstation for such sounds.

I have nothing to use samples, even no software. That's my other project, an ASR10.

I really have nothing of software! (exept a demo of Reason). An Ensoniq ASR 10 is a keyboard sampler. (look at Vintagesynth)

The ASR10 is a bit expensive, check an Akai S2000
