I wanted to share in this sorrow.
I knew Kanta only through this forum, where her posts were always concise yet consistently aimed at sharing information—often as an early scoop.
Respectfully, I send my heartfelt thoughts to her family and loved ones.
May She rest in peace and continue to be with us—here and elsewhere—in the shared passion that unites us.
Rest in peace dear Kanta, thank you for everything you did for the JMJ community and for your kindness and compassion, a true legend of the fan community and will be missed by all of us.

RIP Kanta I'm going to miss you SO much, I'm glad I got to meet you - Slán Miss News ...
I'm not sure why would this be so inconceivable, but there are people on this forum that know each other in person. I know about 10 people, none of which live in my country. Not to mention that a bunch of people here have known each other online for 20+ years. That alone builds attachments. I'm not sure why you thought otherwise and why you thought this was the best time and place to write that post

It's very disrespectful and I deleted the comment. I'm sure quite some people met her during the years. I myself met her back in 2010 in Lille [edit] it was Bercy, I just heard from Antigoon himself, together with her sister, we had great fun. She even commented on user Antigoon (banned on this forum) expressing her surprise that he was an OK guy in real life.
Later we met in Amsterdam where we met with JMJ backstage. It's where one of the photos with him and her was taken. A friend of mine can be seen in the background.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this. Kanta worked tirelessly to bring the JMJ community together and kept us up to date with the latest news/photos/news clippings... From the limited interactions I had with her on this forum she was always a kind and lovely person. RIP Kanta, thanks for doing everything you did to make this forum amazing.

I've known Kanta for almost 20 years, first on the old mainling lists back in the late 90s, when the internet was just starting out, and later on the Zoolook.nl forum and social media.
Kanta was very special because she liked to share information, report events, and help other fans; she was incredibly receptive.
For us in our Brazilian fan club, she never refused to share information. Unfortunately, we know that in many cases this is difficult...
I met her at the only concert I ever saw live... Live in Monaco in 2011. I made a point of hugging her and kissing her on the cheek (she found it strange; the English aren't used to Brazilian customs).
Her loss was a shock to me.
In light of recent events, I sent Fiona a message last night, which I received a few minutes later, in which she expressed her sadness right there in Valencia, while the team was attending another Jarre concert.
I sent another message requesting that a memorial be created in Oxyville for her and all the fans who have passed away... I had already requested this last year when one of our founders, Aldo, passed away.
I hope Kanta's soul now rests in peace.
God be with you !!!

Considering his recent registration date and a previous post mocking another user, I think there's a high chance we know which user from Belgium it is.
