We really need a Blu-ray with all music videos remastered. Scan the filmstock in at 4K and remaster that and clean the VHS tapes as much as you can and have a note on the disc that quality will vary due too the source.

Ok, this deviates from the topic a bit.

There's something that I can't understand about the 2nd (1985) edition. The track listing states:

1. Ethnicolor (11:45)
2. Diva (7:12)

Yet every single CD-rip of this supposed edition that I've ever encountered does not contain tracks of above durations. Ethnicolor is 11:40 (and does not differ from the 1st edition to my knowledge, as opposed to 3rd edition which actually has a couple of extra seconds in the middle) while Diva is 7:30+.

What gives? Is the track listing incorrect?

The three editions of the album that I have are:

1st:
Ethnicolor - 11:42
Diva - 7:32

2nd:
Ethnicolor - 11:40
Diva - 7:33

3rd:
Ethnicolor - 11:47
Diva - 7:20

I guess they just mislabeled the exact length.

Yeah, I pretty much came to the same conclusion, seeing that all copies around the web are like that and there were no extra notes on discogs (or wikipedia) about this. Just wanted to make sure.

The difference between 2 versions is in slightly different version of 4th rendez-vous. In the 1st case the track was mixed by Ermelin and Vanzetto. In the 2nd case it was mixed by Kervorkian.

Wow. Never noticed this before. Thanks. Strangely, to my knowledge, this difference does not appear on any french issue.
Otherwise, 1st version was mixed by Ermelin and Geiss (not Vanzetto)

I am always fascinated by fans that are discussing differences in songs of sometimes 1 or 2 seconds. Or if a pitch in one version is different from the other.
I only have all original recordings that I bought when they came out. I have ignored all remasters and rereleases. If I read all the posts about those, I made the right choice.
Why is it so important to have one song 10 times when it basically sounds the same?

Because your "basically the same" can be "different enough" to someone else.

I'm pretty sure there are people who would say that Equinoxe V from "800 025-2 01" and "800 025-2 02" is "basically the same"
