Indeed it seems like a sort of preview of the album showing the tracks already composed by Luke Vibert, Simonne Jones and Daedalus who are also some of the sound designers who uploaded their free samples on the Soundhunters website to gather an audio-archive for the contest.
It's likely that within the next week they will reveal the names of 5 or 6 tracks (or maybe more) selected from all those uploaded on Soundcloud and submitted through the website.
Nevertheless I've noticed that some contestants didn't fully get the main spirit and concept of the contest and the documentary, namely to both pay a tribute to the groundbreaking sampling wizardry of the Zoolook album and to "capture and remix the sounds of daily life" by using ready-made samples or their own recorded ones for composing original tracks.
Some of them simply submitted "jarresque" electronic tunes without any reference to the Zoolook ambience and without a single sample taken from the website or recorded by them.
By all accounts, the following is my personal response to the "Soundhunters" challenge:

Yeah, I actually added in a couple of Soundhunters samples to an original song of mine and tried to enter it to the contest. Then I changed my mind and removed it silently from SoundCloud.

Follows my contribution for Zoolook Revisited contest.
My main idea for this composition was to use the library of sounds from Simmone Jones (who recently visited Brazil) and use the elements from Rain Forest and create a sound that brings the use of samples and melody at certain point connected to Zoolook.

The release of the album Zoolook Revisited is announced for early 2016!! Jean-Michel Jarre is in the process of selecting the music that makes up the album!

Oh, I didn't realise that there was a whole thread dedicated to this. I can't wait to see how the final album will sound (some submission sound really impressive)! In the meantime, here is my contribution :

You can buy "Zoolook Revisited (A Tribute to Jean-Michel Jarre's Concept Album) - EP" in iTunes since October 30. There are 4 tracks on it.

Ohh, it's on Spotify as well.
Well, in any case, the EP is clearly more on the side of "hey listen to our samples" whereas the fan entries are more on the "something Zoolookish" side.

SOUNDHUNTERS (arte.tv/soundhunters) is an interactive documentary experiment, launched in June 2015, which aims to "sampler" the world to put to music.
During the general presentation of transmedia project, we will discuss its philosophy and narrative development on each of the relevant media (TV, web, mobile, album). This will also be the opportunity to watch movies, go behind the scenes of the project and give voice to filmmakers and musicians involved in the project.
Two musical performances, performed by the group and the KIZ DJ Swann & Moriarty, will punctuate the evening.
Finally, the six winners of the Album Revisited Zoolook be announced by Jean-Michel Jarre or one of its representatives. (subject)
