Anybody else thinking the quality of the Houston concert visuals in these recent social media clips is looking much better? Has there been a "best efforts" clean up of the original grainy VHS footage ready for an official re-release?

I know in the past poor quality was cited as a reason not to re-release but remember JMJ went ahead with the Bratislava box set, despite quality issues, even going as far a putting a statement about the poor quality on the sleeve notes.

We can but hope!

If it's a re-release, then maybe it might be a completely redone version of that cancelled Houston DVD that was meant to come out back in 2008?

A few years ago, something similar happened with Europe in Concert. Jarre’s team posted a countdown in social media that ultimately led to nothing. I found it no logical. This time, they’re doing something similar again. I think that if the Houston video is truly unrecoverable, they could at least release an anniversary album with the full audio concert—it would be wonderful, even including some additional rehearsal material.

Yeah, when it comes to reminiscing his past, JMJ only goes as far as posting some previously unseen (or rarely seen) photos -- albeit very nice ones -- social media video snippets featuring footage from past concert tapes (sometimes with correct audio), and some other minor nods near/during anniversaries.

(So in the case of Houston, instead of waiting for JMJ to do something, someone needs to pay a visit to the Houston 93Q radio station archives and dig up some tapes from 1986 )
