Very possible. Neither the kick of Minipops 7 or the EKO Computerhythm sounds like it. So I am also starting to think that it's one the good ol' synths that he used on the album.

Hihats: EKO Computerhythm
Glocking sound: Modified Minipops 7 drum (I altered pitch and decay)

Done in a hurry, not 100% identical. Sorry for rar-file. But I have no place else to upload it.

Ok... for all the EKO believers: here is a single measure including the snare with just EKO samples. They are heavily EQ-ed with just low mid high and a max of 12 db/oct for the filters.

Also I made quick 'cover' with the use of my MIDInent and the timeWarp 2600. This version includes the MP7 kick that you can get dry using the 'march'-preset on the slowest tempo possible. The rest of the drum sounds is the EKO. I always think that when you hear a drum-pattern for the first time dry you get confused. You should always hear the rest too... You might wonder why the MIDInent and timeWarp2600... well I was lazy today

Full MP7 version shortly... I'm a bit puzzeled where he could have got the hat sequence...(I mean wich preset/combination)

Someone posted the Drum loop on the old Jarre.net forum which is a CR78 preset loop

the 78 glocks and 78 Open hihats are distint you can spot them anywhere..
I own a CR-78 and haven't heard any preset that sounds anything like the Equi 4 drums.

Well, i can press all programs with all combinations (the CR78 allows two programs at the same time), i get Collins/Visage/OMD-Patterns, but i don´t get out any preset which has the same structure like EQ4.

But i´ll try it again. Maybe i´ve missed something.

No, unfortunaly not. It has nearly the same sound-board structure like the Mp7. Controller=>Trigger=>Oscillator (cheapo LC Oscillators consisting of Caps/ReS/Reels in Henry-Range), Noise-"Gates"), preamp. Mostly all (old) analog drummers work like that cause it was the cheapest method. Nowadays it is nearly impossible because the reels are not any longer available (yes, they are, but approx 700/800 mH which is way too few for toms) and winding such reels with computation of the resistance of the material is too pedantic.

The snare is -never- from a Mp7! The Mp7-noise-sounds are more or less really only noise and don´t have any structure!

No chance! Oxygene 2/4/Equi5 & Co is Mp7 with Smallstone, but not Equi4!

i think that francis and jmj know better than us. so if geiss rhytmicomputer was modded programmable minipops it's 100% sure that it was that machine

-If-, then it must be a really -hard- mod so that it wouldn´t be any longer a Mp7 itself (=completely self-build).

l l try it with my own Mp7-Samples.
