Ehm, I do like the Liberation Solos of Oxygene 5 and that's got nothing to do with me being a fan nor am I tone death. :D Plus, I never noticed that other people were I annoyed by it.

However, I rather thought his "pressing-a-thousand-knobs"-performance of Oxygene 12 during his Oxygene-1997-tour was a little bit silly.

I think the Theremin solo is a little bit outdated now, it's like the flute piece at the beginning of Oxygène II - I agree that it is a fantastic instrument but I don't think it was ever meant to be played on its own - the tone and colour is too harsh.

I think he should try it as a solo with some accompaniment so that there is something to blunt the harsh sound of the instrument. Or, try altering the sound with an effects unit such as a Kaoss Pad to try getting some weird but spacey effects out of it!
