Yeah, I usually don't like posting the same thing in several parts of the forum, but it seemed on-topic and relevant both here and in the "Instruments" section.

Just watched the video, and that's amazing; cool laser, cool cover version, (replicas are boring as hell and redundant, imo), and nice Jarre gestures. I don't say this often... BRAVO!

One thing, though... why doesn't it make any sounds at the end?

Once the actual folding starts, the harp will not send any MIDI data to the synth, and I can put my hands in the folding beams without any sound.

Makes sense, really. It's a cool visual ending.

Would be cool with some Star Wars lightsaber sounds, though. Perhaps...

I've been thinking about adding functionality for open/fold sounds, ie. that the computer sends a MIDI note on a specified channel to the synth so that it makes some sort of sound. And maybe send pitch bend or other controller data as well so that the sound changes in sync with the folding/spreading no matter how fast I set it.

Also, that the sound could change when I move my hand up and down at the end (a la light saber) by sending some kind of controller data to the synth. With a laptop and custom made computer program controlling everything, virtually anything is possible. Hmmm.... sounds like an intriguing challenge to explore. Yes, I am at times a nerd.
