Just my $0.02 - "Electronica" is no genre at all. It's a term made up by some stupid record company employee and means something like "anything electronic". That's exactly why I hate the term and wanted to add sth about it.

Ishkur's site also mentions that, but even musicians use that term. I would have thought it reffered to that abstract experimental like music. New genres do appear so it wouldn't surprise me if you actually can specify some music for this term. I don't really know anymore, and I don't really care either
