He's saying that the Lead sound for Oxygene 8 is the Tab called "Principal 8" on the Eminent 310

the bass was also from arp2600

cs60... yes it can be found in eq1

I played around in demo version of ARP2600V to see if I can come up with a similar sound like in EQ4, then I added some cheesy strings etc etc.

Well here is the best I could do, I seem to be missing something, I just can't get it to sound similar to the original.

You will have to forgive me for a couple of things:
-I just used one sequence, didn't do any variations, when it gets to F chord it is suppose to sound different, etc. nevermind that, this is just a test of sound.
-sorry for the cheesy strings, it's from an old home-keyboard, lol
-sorry for silence intervals, this is just a demo version so it has that.

This is actually my first analog patch ever, lol, this is much harder than I thought,
I guess I better stick with playing paino and stuff like that
Plus I seemed to have learned to use an analog sequencer today

The best one I heard so far (while digging on this forum) is from Bromus.

But still the original recording is different. It just sounds somehow "organic".
Either 2600V is not a good enough emulation of real ARP, or ARP wasn't even used for that
sequence. Well the third option is that nobody yet (that I know about) copied the patch just right.

Real Mellotron certainly is only really used on the end of Part 7,all other Melly tracks are off the JV/XP vintage card sounds(Part 8/9/11)

What is the time of the mellotron sample on O11?

On my Eminent the Principal tab doesn't have a majorly fast attack,its only when you Employ the Percussion modulation to give it more of that Organ click attack most organ sounds tend to be relativly fast attack times,if you model any organ sound there very much on full volume as soon as the key is pressed and little release/Sustain

Whether Jarre used this Tab for the actual track or not is for him to answer but its almost certainly easy to model,as we've seen on Jarre's modular for the Oxy tour,and I've also made a Patch on the JP8000 of it.

It seems to me that many people seem quite confused or bewildered that Jarre sourced so many of the Sounds he used off the Eminent,using far more than just the String ensemble,and rather than using conventional synthesizers.Even the Guy I bought my Eminent off only thought Jarre used the String ensemble??and said he couldn't find any other sounds he used on it...Well when you listen to the tabs its more than obvious he's used other sounds,and when you consider who the chap was I bought the Eminent off and the crap replicas he produces with his act(Mention no names UK tribute act),you can understand why he never found those sounds...
