Great cover Radek. I think that there is an echo on the bass and I think it is missing on your version (didn't care a lot).
IMO the mix is too bright, a bit the opposite of original, and confuse somtimes on the second part (fx + eminent solo)

You must be kiddin'
Reproduction with wrong notes isn't a cover imho. I think is a horrible attempt to copy the original. :x

Radek you are so stupid. Everybody with the right instruments can play exactly the same of the original. You think with you're covers that it is interesting, but, No Way!!! I can make covers of Jarre too excactely, but I play some stuff of Jarre wrong on purpose, that is more interesting. BTW I've heard better replica-covers of oxygene 2 than this what you think the best cover ever. Play some mistakes it is better. If I want to hear something of Jarre thezn I listen to the original. It is more interesting to play some wrong things with the right instruments.

PS some covers of you are not in the right timing and sounds played. If you wanna be a good replica cover player, do it right.
Yes Kubrick, we know that Your replicas are best in the world :) Anyway why are U attacking me dude? What did I do 2 U ?

OK so if U think that my replica covers are stupid with many bugs do Your own replicas of... hmmm Oxygene 2 and 4. Recreate sounds using Arturia's ARP 2600 - it's easy VST You know - so - genius sound programmer - there will be no problems for You I think.

I can see that You've posted same comment as the "smart" guy on Youtube who thinks, that when he has MC808 he's cool coz he can play chatterbox using play button. pfffff

we'll wait for Your replicas... Like I said... I've used Arturias ARP 2600... So please recreate bass sound, RMI plucks, FX's etc :) Play with wires as show us what u can :)

You also say that playing with mistakes is cool. Oh yes it is; after hearing Your covers (eg. Your amazing Oxy 2 cover - http://www.supload.com/listen?s=SH68YbR2-UO ) I can say that You're not doing it for fun but CAN'T PLAY even SIMPLE CHORDS man... So WTF is Your problem?

ps. Show me better replica of Oxygene 2 track :) I don't mean I'm master or sth like that... But this is the first cover that I'm really proud of. And I'm really sure it sounds CONVINCING

ps2. You're strange man You know? Coz at the beginning you're spaming my pm-box with questions about all configuartions and sound possibilities and now you're attacking me...

Actually I don't care much. There are always some people who attacks others for strange reasons

:wtf2:

Listen and search the 100 differences of the original. That is for me a good replica

http://www.supload.com/listen?s=S-si9pytsxz

PS there are no samplers used. This cover was done in 5 hours and with 4 instruments.

eminent 310, juno106, yamaha sy1 and korg minipops.
That is not a cover, that is just the Original track (as in the Track from the Oxygene Album)

I can better play the chords than you man. My own tracks has no mistakes, because I don't want to play covers right. I'm against this. With my mistakes I will show that replica-covers is so stupid to do. So I make on purpose mistakes. You must spend more time on you're own music. Covers means to me that you can't play or that you are a none creative person, because that's all what you can. Radek I have nothing against you, but don't think that you are the master on this whole forum. It is no art to re-create the same. be creative, I think that you are. Make you're own tracks, It is nice to hear that you can make excactly the same, but make something of you. You are not a musician. You are nothing, poser.

Radek have you tried a longer release on the leads/plucks, I'm not so sure about a highly plucky sound for the leads that everybody seems to go for in their covers, there seems to either be some release there or Jarre's doing something subtle with the reverb or even some chorus.

Comparing the leads on the album to every single cover I've heard, well the leads on every cover are simply dead and static, no movement or life to the timbre. And he's treated the lead in stereo as well, like the Oxygene 4 verse lead.

No I don't think so, it'll give it a little bit more body and that distinct metallic sound. I'm not saying sustain it all the way, just slightly more than what you're used to and then use compression to control the tail. What's important though is the body of the sound which just isn't there if there's no sustain, it just sound like a stupid metallic pluck sound, very cheap.
And I don't think his attack is 0 either.

I think ther's a slight attack, and i'v found a way to give more presence to the sound ; i do not use reverb as a send/ return effect, but plug directlly to the instrument (in Reason 4), and play with the dry /wet setting of the reverb . That sounds good (for me ^^) . I 'll send a link in the day
