I guees it was the same with some of his other custom controllers. There was a funny story about The Meuble also.

This keyboard was used for Houston and Lyon, and then, it went in a city near to Tours, in 1987, so
That was 20 years ago ! It is lying around in this place since 20 years !
Either the persons owning it was a fan, but I don't think so, a fan would have kept it in mint condition, or he is only someone of the crew.
I have his cellphone, I'll try to give him a call as soon as Oliver is here

Anyway, this is still a very nice found and it almost reveals what happened to it after the concerts. I guess many fans have thought about it

Aw man time/someone hasn't treated that one well... but I've never really cared about the Houston/Lyon gadgets... hell, I'd still want the portable Circulaire (Docklands and PLD... both were cool) and the big one too... hehehe

But then again the computer screens where probably just some atari monitors placed on it. They were seen everywhere on stage, the other simmonsdrumpad shaped lights where probably also external units but one of them can also bee seen on the pictures of the newly taken pictures.

1 million euros is LOL. It was constructed by on site carpenters.. you can actually see that in one of those making-of documentaries.

Looking at it yesterday, it does look like the real thing, but the way it operates is very amateur and pathetic. I saw very very cheap push to make switches under some of the keys (little red buttons) which are very prone to either not operating on keypresses or just breaking up in general. Hmmmm.... I smell DIY.

The computor screens were for the Fairlght which can be seen to the right of the keyboard
Looking at it this morning, the black keys seem to have been attached using small hinges, and did nothing other than make the keyboard look like a keyboard (black & white keys)

I don't even think that this is a MIDI-CONTROLLER at all. I saw the little buttons and I'm pretty sure that these red buttons are just the contacts for the light from the keyboards, and nothing more. If you see Jarre "playing" on it at the concerts in Houston and Lyon, than is it very obvious that this unit is just a show thing and not a musical instrument. I was pretty sure of this the first time that I saw rendezvous houston 20 years ago.
