Yup, Nord apperance, either hate or love it. I was just talking to Nico about their new C1 combo organ. I love it's look, he can barely stand it

I love NordLeads 1, 2, 2x, 3 and Wave looks, but the other ones...

Thats perfectly Natural,I would do the same if someone said the Oasys or Triton or Z1 or anything I value was bad,I'm not saying its a shit synth overall,I'm sure the Nords are superb synths in their own right,You see plenty of acts using the Nords(Most notably the MK2)the sound,I thought it was too raw or edgy on certain sounds,lack of effects is no sore point,but I suppose when you pay that much for a synth you expect a little Modulation,even if there crappy algorithms or poor Quality,a little chorus is usually the norm or a delay line..Good interface as with any VA,but I prefer the Sound of JP8K or a Prophecy,thats just my taste,doesn't mean my view is right,just a matter of taste,and I buy things on the pretence of what they can benefit my Music,Just the Nords didn't work for my taste Or Music back in those early Days of having one I prefered the JP8K,a more mellow sound

On the features it depends on what your after,after using the Virus TI you have all these routing modulations that you become sort of limitless,almost anything on the synth can be routed to anything else like a modular and the sounds are phenomial,on a par the Nords sound reminds me of the Andromeda raw and gruesome in some respects,but again the Nord is limited in its routing facilities,this is where I chose the A6 over another Nord which haven't really advanced that much except for maybe Polyphony.and a few other minor upfgrades since the MK1,thats why I don't have any need for them even in the mk2,mk3 2x etc,I'm sure the Modular version caters for that area,but thats an area I don't want to explore unless its a real hardware with real routing mods on the panelling,I've looked at the newer nords Long and hard in my Quest for a decent rig of VA,just the TI and Andromeda covers all needs,and everything else by the jp8k,and I didn't like the sound of the Nords enough to Justify buying another again,but maybe in the future Who knows,thats why I thought it was overrated at the time but we have more VA choice nowadays.

Yes I didn't feel that offended, the reasons why I used It still has the smiley face saying "this is not so serious"

My new room has to be finished first Then the NL will have a decent place to be played on

It actually made smile... Together Now (Parlez-Vous Francais) must be full of NL2 presets. I already knew about that metallicsound especially presented in the beginning of the track baing a preset (1.84), but almost next to (1.88) I just found that lowpass horn which was also used in that track. Im curious if I can find more . Anyway TK had 2 NL2 on stage at the Nuit Electronic concert, so there is no doubt that they must have played around with that synth.
Maybe boring, this was just a nice find as I earlier thought about what synths these sound were from

I prefere the looks of the NL2/NL2x. The MK1 with it's shaped corner always reminds me that it looks like it was dropped on it's corner, I don't like that. The MK 2 (2 & 2X) looks much better with it's boxed corners, basic screen and basic knobs. Looks more "retro". The MK3 is nice with it's newer screen and LED lights around the knobs, but it takes away the retro look of the MK2 of which I like.

I agree about the look. The parameter leds on the NL3 are good and useful, but it is too much light for being retro. The Nords are red which is not quite vintage, but I still think it is one of the most vintage looking VA's. No unusual shapings (mainly talking NL2 here). It is edgy. It is the look, but the look of a synthesizer always add something to the sound... somehow if you can say so The sound and the look is a pretty good match. The same goes for the other VA's at that time IMO.

I love my damn synth, but it acts strange sometimes. Right now the button that is supposed to shift between mono, legato and poly mode is also changing filtertypes. I can actually see the LEDs in the filtersection change aswell Weird circuits... I tuned it off and then on but the problem was still there. I'll se what happens after some time. I have no idea how these indepent sections are related to each other.

Maybe you need to clean the PCB's once?
