Yes it works like pads when you are hitting pads. In the studio clips he used the drumpads from the simmons drums.

That thing is hooked to a pair of Electronic Drum Pads, I know the pads are Simmon Drum Pads.

There Touch sensitive keys like the Keyboard in the Case of the EMS synthi AKS,basically just membranes,like the Electro Harmonix Synth that the crowd plays on the China tour,there not conventional Keyboard type mechanisms,think of them like a ribbon controllor,they work by Pressure sensingSynthesist wrote:The Insecte annoys me. No the simmons drumpads were connected to this machine in his studio almost 10 years before the picture was taken. For the performances, some other customized trigger pads or bends were used.Dominc wrote:There's no Simonns Drum Pads on this picture.
