I don't understand ANYTHING of they website, Jip.

I duno what to buy, how many sorts of theremin they speak about (looks like they speak of 3 differents...)

Which one are you making, the one with AM or the one with a Line Level output ?

Hmm, I found the description pretty clear. You start with the componentslist. If you have all the components, then you send him an email, and just ask for the pcb-pdf's. That's because he wants to know how much ppl are building his theremin. You have to print that out on glossy photopaper to etch the pcb, but that's also described very well. Then you mount the components on the board, and start with making the coils, which you mount also on the board. I don't know exactly what that tuning is (I'm not there yet, but I'll tell you later what and how).

BTW, the page where you looked the last is just a description of the antenna . It's not a theremin!

At your last question about playing: The antenna is for the tuning. Later you can build a pre-amp with every possibility for controlling you want. That guy here uses a solar-cell, because of it's ease. But there's enough possibilities to make a pre-amp with an antenna!

So all I need to do is to :
- buy components,
- send him an email (I'll ask someone to make the PCB, I pay him and he does it perfectly good )
- mount antennas

Two mistakes: You don't have to pay him! He only wants to know how much ppl are building and from where they are.
Second: You make your PCB yourself! It's so easy! It takes 3 hours, and then you're finished. The only you need is a laser printer with photopaper, an empty PCB, board etchant (for sale at Radioshack or your local componentsdealer), a plastic bowl and boiled water!

I was speaking of paying someone to make the PCB, because I don't want to buy all these things to make ONE PCB...

@Nico: yeah you can play it like JMJ's, as long as the antennas have enough pitch range. I think JMJ's has a range of 5 octaves or more. Also, be sure to add TONS of delay, should work fine then

You only need to buy a pcb-board from the size 10/7 cm or sth, you can buy that everywhere and some etchant, which is not too expensive. C'mon, are you a diy-er or not? :mryellow:
