I can't find anything about this book on Google or eBay, only this page : http://www.synrise.de/user/formant2.htm is speaking about it...

Is it a big book ? Is there a lot about the Simmons ?

Nothing about Simmons. It didn't exist then, but the half of the book is about building electronic drums (and sequence them to a rhythm).
