BBC have now resumed filming TOP GEAR and latest reports indicate that they are in talks about if they should show the footage in the series of the near fatal crash.
Insensitive decision if they do

I think they should, but to show how badly these things can go wrong.

Maybe it is cool to show how these things can go so badly, because if you do that, people might get more safty next time???

Well I'm sure that if they do,then it would have to be at the blessing of Richard Hammond,employer or not they should still seek his permission to show it if they get that permission,then I wouldn't feel it to be insensitive,given that Hamster would want people to see it...
the most obvious reason for the BBC to agreeing to showing it......
Viewing figures....can you imagine the Number of people who will tune in to watch it!!!!!!! die hard top gear fans or not,I'm sure there are a large number of curious viewers who would want to see the footage...
I wouldn't say it would be irresponsible to show it,given the amount of garbage that graces the TV screen these days,far from it...Its only the implications of the accident that make it a torrid or horrific piece of filming,in theorectical terms its no different to showing a car crash on a program like Casualty,which can be quite gruesome with some of the makeup of the injuries!!...the only obvious statement is that the hamster footage is for real with real injuries!!but given his way to a full recovery,its not really an insensitive decision to decide to air the footage,had it been fatal then obviously its a whole different ballgame
Whether you agree or not,its a corporation that thrive on its need to thrill and the footage is all about viewing figures,Its inevitable that this footage will be screened...insenstive or not,this is the BBC!!!!!Given that there in any kind of negotiations over it tells you the impending answer!!!

But how many people have access to this type of Vehicle???Very few
You take a risk in any vehicle,but you know the risks,it just that knowing this type of thing can happen also adds to the Adrenalin rush....
You should try Riding a Motorbike at 150+ mph even on an Airfield!!!......you'd understand...the safety apsect is not what makes you a more conscious driver,because no matter how safe you are,theres always the risk of someone else injuring you,you can be the safest driver in the world,yet you have no control over your vehicle in a situation.
I know as a biker that i can come off the bike at anytime,irrespective of how safe I drive,because you never know what the Next motorist will do or if your vehicle will malfunction and I know people who have had accidents on bikes,doesn't stop you getting back onto it again!
