I simply went in with them (I sneaked in with both - in a baggy bag - one Canon 400D and one Konica Minolta DiMage Z6 - none are small). I had made friends with the lady at the entrance desk and she offered to ask the guard if I'm allowed with cameras in. Apparently, cameras weren't allowed, and she said that the security people had told her that there would be a check point. However, when they opened the doors, no checking, they simply checked the tickets and just let everyone pass without further questioning. And God knows my bags looked really heavy I still kept my cameras concealed, fearing the huge bodyguards in front of the stage, but during the show I took photos all the time, both cameras slung around my neck, shamelessly getting up and applauding, both cameras very visible. The bodyguards had no problem with people taking photos at all, however. They only reacted to those folks, who weren't authorized photographers, that got too close to the stage. I did not use any flash. More out of respect for people's eyes, than out of fear of being caught or anything

Hmm, ok, so no tactic really .

I think I might try to smuggle it in by keeping the body in one of my pockets, and the lens in a friend's pocket or something like that, so as not to look like I'm carrying a big-ass DSLR. Though if they stop me, I'd have to explain why I'm carrying a camera body .

do you think they actually recognize a camera body when they see one? put the cap on the hole to the sensor chamber and just tell them it's the usual cover i bet it works. Also, try to take 2 cards, or 2 batteries with you. in case they tell you to leave your camera, tell them it's very expensive, no you're not leaving it, but you're offering to leave them the battery or the card, or even both (if you can get doubles for both of them actually ). And once you're in, take pictures with no flash and be careful so as not to be too obvious. that's what I had in mind to do as well if there had been a checkpoint.

I just sent an email to the concert hall, inquiring about any possibilities for non-press photographers to get special access and/or authorization. I doubt it'll work, but well... no you already have, yes you can get, right .

I would hazzard a guess that if your digital camera makes an 'auto wind' sound, you could probably convince them that it's a film camera...

As if it would matter. The processed film can be digitally scanned as good as any digital camera. There actually exists very fine grain films at iso 800 and above.

I have a feeling none of the concert has really sold out tickets yet.......... maybe 80% in Hungary and Poland. and even less in Denmark.

The concert in Holland and Belgium are almost sold out. Around 200 tickets or less left at moment...

I thought Oslo en Poland concert were already sold out, must have misunderstood it then.

If you want to see him in Koblenz, no problem! There are a lot of tickets available. I think the Sporthalle is the smallest venue of the Tour, only 3500 people. The reason for the bad ticket sales could be the ticket prices which are very high.

I don´t think that there will be another Concert in Germany during this Tour, even if he stated that in the current edition of German Keyboards magazin.

And I am very curious if the In>Doors Tour will be continued at all...

Oslo is practically sold out, according to the promotor. Only a couple of hundred tickets left, or something like that.

glad to hear this. i was already afraid that Jarre would think twice before next tour but as we can see there is actually quite a large interest. if only all the people who came to concerts bought Teo and Tea it wouldn't fail so badly...

Your opinion please... Is there a chance to see the MIDI flute again or does it not fit the whole concept of in-door venues ?
