Ordered a Nord Lead 2x this morning, so it should be with me towards the end of next week. I have always liked the Nords and the NL2 is one I have had on my list for ages.

Congrats! Hopefully you'll like it. It's simple but at least I have had a lot of fun programming it. It easily does the sound you want.

This is what I like about this Nord, it's back to basics and yet it sounds just soooooooooo sweet.

There is definitely a reason to be excited But give it a chance and don't judge it on the first tones when going through the presets. I haven't found much cool presets on it of those 400 you can edit yourself, so there are plenty of space for your own sounds. Be sure to check out the Prophet-5 patches for some oldschool vibes. The organs pacthes are also quite nice, if you like that kind of sounds.
Enough about the presets... just program some sounds on it. you'll soon discover it's nice raw and dirty tone that burns through everything

My NL2x has arrived, about an hour ago

It's a neat little machine with some quirky sounds. I see what you mean about it sounding gritty and rough (ruff), but there is something really likable about the Nord. Only one down side, there is no manual/manuals in the box, they are missing. Not good for a new synth.

Any idea to who I need to contact?

Also, is there a sound list anywhere?

You beat me too it, I just found it on the Clavia site. But I was hoping to try and get a hardcopy too.

The sound or patchlist is also in the manual. Try contact Clavia. I don't know why but sometimes the manuals are left in the box. I got one with mine.

If its supposed to be brand new in Box,then they should supply you with a Manual,if there isn't one in the box get the Shop to order you one...they should do this free of charge(Who did you buy off)

I got fobbed off with an Ex Demo unit I bought some years ago of a synth the guy told me they had the manual,but when I arrived at the shop he said it must have been binned with the Box

Tried to play the old "Download it" bollox,all well and good,but I don't like searching through a PDF,I like to browse a Hard copy at my leisure,can't be arsed with printing that Shit off,I want a Proper Book...so complained to Korg and got them to send me one and they charged it to the Music shop(After getting their go ahead)


Not that you'll need the Manual for the Nords anyway..But its always handy to have a hard copy to reference now and again,or handy for Toilet literature for the Ten minute Richard the third...

I will contact the shop and ask them to sort it out. If I get no joy I will contact Clavia and ask them.

I know what you mean about the PDF. Although I have d/l it earlier, I still want the book. Afterall, I did pay for it when buying the NL2x.
