I can have a D-50 + PG-1000 for 350 euros.
It seems to be a fair price, what do you think ?
I don't know if I'll buy it this time... I'd have to sell my Matrix-1000 quickly.

D50 + PG1000 for that price is a pretty good buy, but you can find them cheaper IMO.

Yeah, that's very reasonable. PG1000's are often more expensive than the synth itself...

I hadn't checked D-50s on eBay for a while...
I'm hesitating between the D-50 + PG-1000 for 350 € and a mint S-50 with the DT-100 (graphic pen) and full disk library for 240 € (I would have to buy the screen too)... With the screen it looks a bit like a poor man's Fairlight CMI

C'est une tablette graphique avec un genre de bic relié à la tablette, et on peut dessiner les formes d'onde avec ça (et peut-être les enveloppes ADSR? je sais pas trop).

I've just checked now (after seeing your message) and I don't see any D-50 on sale with the PG1000.

That's not a bad idea, really a Fairlight for persons without too much money
But let's hope the sound of the S50 are good...
On Audiofanzine, you can buy a D50, and then add a PG1000 later on, but it is useful if you wanna make or modify sounds, in fact, you can use a midi controller instead
With the huge amount of soundsyou can find on internet, I don't think the PG1000 will be useful
(I don't use mine too much, not I didn't use it for 8 months in fact :mryellow:)

I found my D-50 the day I looked for it. THe PG-1000 I had to wait a month and a half before I found one. If you can get both at a reasonable price I'd jump on it.

The S-50 seems to be a bit lo-fi: 12-bit - 30kHz, with not very much memory. But the screen and graphic pen are a big pro! (I'm still looking or a keyboard-sampler).

I feel I won't have the patience to load samples and work on them from scratch, and not enough space for a screen etc.
Actually I need a not-too-expensive synth to use in a rock band. I think a D-50 will do the trick. But I'll need specific sounds so the PG-1000 will be more than useful.

In that case, the D50 is perfect I think. There are loads of sounds on the internet, so a programmer isn't necessary, unless you really want to create your own sounds.
